The Jasper Training Barriers are a great way to barrier break a horse because they are SAFE and EASY to use. No one has to be standing on the ground holding a barrier up for you. The other nice thing about this barrier is you can ride your horse back and forth through it, both ways. We put them up and leave them in our box. We ride through them as a great way to desensitize our colts, as well as other horses, that are not used for roping. We have had great success in getting our horses ready to go and compete behind a barrier. 

It was super easy to put up and it works great. We have really been having fun with it. The horses were used to it within about two days.  Our son, Liam, is 7 and just loves roping, so the next 10 years of messing around with a mix of wire, bungis, and flags didn't sound fun! The first day we had it up he was getting his horse used to it. I went to the barn to get something and I look out and he had pulled the flag off the end and was rubbing his horse with it.

We have a horse we were ready to give up on.  We do not rope or rodeo, we trail ride.  Max was a horse that we really enjoyed riding until a tree branch would touch him – then all fun was gone.  Max would totally lose his composure and jig for the next mile or more.  We bought a set of your training barriers and set them up in our round pen; real low, so they would touch his legs. After only a few days, he was so much better and now, after a month, nothing bothers him on the trails.  Your barriers are such a safe and gentle way to desensitize a horse.  We will definitely tell everyone we know.  Thank you.
